Andover Farmers' Market

Andover Farmers' Market - use it or lose it

Thanks to an intervention by Test Valley Borough Council, the farmers’ market in Andover has won a reprieve and will continue in the town for the next six months until July 2012. By supporting local producers, we create a positive impact on the local economy, reduce food miles and help the environment.

The markets will continue in a mini market format offering a wonderful range and selection of staple local produce. Visitors will continue to find Hampshire meat, fish, bread, cheese, wine and many different cakes and bakes.

After six months the popularity of the markets will be assessed to see if a continued presence in the town is economically viable for the producers.

The next Andover market will take place in the High Street on Sunday 19 February 2012 between 10am and 2pm, subsequently followed by: Sunday 18 March, Sunday 15 April, Sunday 20 May and Sunday 17 June.

A leaflet promoting the markets:
 www.testvalley.gov.uk/andoverfarmersmarket

Hard copies of the leaflet are also available from David Gleave, Economic Development Officer DGleave@testvalley.gov.uk with the quantities you require.

To find out more details about the markets, download vouchers and offers to be redeemed with producers and to see the latest local recipes, visit
