Council Tax Information

The Parish Council's statutory obligations are funded from income from your Council Tax by way of the Parish Precept. St Mary Bourne Parish Councillors work with the Clerk each year to set a budget, and by 31st January each year request a Precept from Basingstoke and Deane.  The Precept is paid to the Parish Council in two parts during the year - 50% in April and the remaining 50% in September.

Other income from Basingstoke and Deane is from grants each year.  Currently grants make a contribution to the Grounds Maintenance in the parish, a Wicket Maintenance Grant is provided to St Mary Bourne Cricket Club via the Parish Council, and the cost of our Litter Picker working 3 hours a week is covered by a Street Cleaning Grant.  Any costs exceeding this funding from these grants is made up for in the Precept.

St Mary Bourne Parish Council also recieves income from the Fishing Syndicate and from the rental of the Pavilion by Ninny's House nursery.
