Planning Information
St Mary Bourne Parish Council is a statutory consultee on all planning applications in the parish considered by Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council (BDBC).
Each planning application is considered by the Planning Committee. The application is circulated by the clerk by email and councillor opinions collated and recorded by the clerk. If the Planning Committee can not reach a majority decision, then the application will be brought to the next Full Council Meeting for discussion and agreement of all Parish Councillors present. The Parish Council may request an extension on the consultee deadline. The clerk will submit the agreed response to the BDBC website.
With a routine exception of planning applications relating to trees in a conservation area, all planning applications for the parish are shared on the Parish Council Facebook page with a link to the BDBC website where detail of the application can be found.
Members of the public and press are welcome to attend any meeting. There is time allowed for members of the public to speak at the start of the meeting - the amount of time allowed is at the discretion of the chair of the meeting.
All Planning Applications can be viewed on the BDBC website.
