Volunteering Awareness drop-in Morning

WANT A GOOD REASON TO ESCAPE ? from work, home, children, parents ... for half an hour or an hour a week, a month or just from time to time ?

You are cordially invited to attend a Volunteering Awareness Morning (drop-in) in the Village Centre Club Room to chat to representatives of local organisations, charities and others who really need your extra pair of hands to help with sports, admin, the shop, fund raising, driving, cleaning the church and numerous other activities - on Saturday 9^th July 2011 from 9.30am to noon.

This event is supported by the Parish Council. Cllr Bridget Culley, Parish Council chairman, commented:

"We will hopefully demonstrate to those who do not currently volunteer that there are so many ways to give time and expertise. Volunteering doesn’t have to be regular, often or onerous and can be according to ones interests.”

The Parish Council is particularly keen to attract the interest of younger people.
